oops..forgotten to zoom out!

i thot e camera is anti-blurred? * get e joke? *

hahaha...

i decided to cut my hair. cant really take the heat, and it's quite difficult to manage it. so bye bye long hair...

one last pic of me with long hair! :D

hair bein chopped off! :X

haha... my head feels lighter now! :) after two years, i'm back to medium length hair again. haha.. initially , i planned to cut it short, but the hairstylist voiced his concern that my hair might curl if i trimmed it short, so i decided to keep it at this safe length!

this week's classes were still manageable :D at least i remembered a number of students' names. haha.. my goal for next week will be to remember all my students' names! though i'm only teachin them for this semester, but i am still their teacher, thus it's my responsibility to do so :X

i conducted my first proper tut this week, and i hoped that my pace was acceptable for all. i didnt want to rush as i wanted to make sure everyone knew their stuff. But i couldnt afford to be slow as i have a deadline to meet. that's y i keep stressing to them consultations are open to all ! haha.. the response isnt bad, i have two students approaching me already, and there's another girl whom i taught in first three months but isnt my student now :D i feel really SHIOK when they understand what's goin on after that!

for next week tut, i will be going thru case studies with them again, as most of them were still blurred after fri's lect. i sensed the students' urge to do well, and i will do my best to help them to achieve their goals! haha.. i didnt face much discipline problem as they were very motivated to do well :)

maybe i will conduct a diagnostic test on case studies to find out if they really understand their stuff. it's good in the sense that i can find out who are the weaker ones so that i can dedicate more time to help them before they take their first test in week 6.

haha..i haf been doin my homework too. readin newspaper articles and cutting them down so that i can share with my students. i was once a student myself, and i knew that there wasnt sufficient time to finish hw, not even to say, read newspaper. it's a good practise for them for case studies, and simultaneously, increase their world knowledge so that they can use real-world e.g. to supplement their answers in essays.

the workload might be heavy, but i enjoy my work, period :)

went to bugis with darlin today for dinner. haha.. walked around in bugis junction lookin for food, but we eventually decided to dine at a chinese "zi char" restaurant. haha..the place is situated along the stretch of steam boat shops just in front of the DHL balloon :)

the restuarant offers good food at reasonable price. u should try the " yu tou lu " if u visit the place in the future. as there were only the two of us, it wasnt worthwhile to order that, so we ended up ordering some small dishes. the dishes included baby kailan with garlic, coffee pork ribs, fried prawn paste chicken and beancurd on hot plate :D yummy!!

after having a proper meal,we went to a famous dessert shop ,which was recommended by me, situated at Liang Seah Street. we ate the almond paste ( so smooth and tasty ) as well as mixed balls in ginger soup :X haha... appetizing!

both of us were quite full by then. haha..which means we grow fatter too. haa.. darlin wanted to buy three-quarter pants using his capitaland voucher, so we went to Fresh Imp at bugis junction. he got his stuff :0

haha...came home after that... blogging at this moment.

pic pic!

darlin cant wait to start !

i just want to say that no one is stupid in this world.

damn pissed off just now. i abhor people who showed me attitude when i did nothing to offend them. you might think that you have your family with you at that moment, so you can do stuff to make me look silly. i am neither a fool nor a toy. i just want to let you know that there is a limit to my threshold, and i am trying to maintain my cool so that things will not turn ugly.

u asked me to get lost. i did. i can tolerate at times, but you have gone overboard today.

please don't give others the impression that bickering is our frequent activity. i dont think that it will reflect good on both of us.

wosh!! this week has been a busy one. i have been relieving another econs teacher since monday, as she will only be in sch today! welcome on board Juliana! :D haha... i took four of her classes which were S17, S 19, S18 and S10 on mon and tues. it was enjoyable, and i had fun teaching them theory of demand! :X

i had lessons with my first class S11, yesterdae! :X haha..they were friendly, and responsive! thank god! i will rather have a noisy class than to have a quiet class, at least it's livelier :) i quite dread going to classes in which i get the thinking that i'm talking to myself even though there were a handful of students in the classroom. hopefully, i will be spared!

took three classes today, out of which, two were my own classes S21 and S20. the remaining class was just stepping in to help Juliana, since it's her first time teaching :D S21 was a bit shy, and hopefully they will warm up as time goes by. S20 was nice, and i was glad that i got a number of responsive students !

i hope that the 8 classes do understand my lessons!!! i will try my best to make the lessons livelier in the next few tutorials, but it might be a bit tough as going through tut questions can be quite dry at times! hmm...i have to think of something. any idea ?????

poor darlin has fallen sick!! poor poor javier darlin.... haix. must take ur medicine promptly and take good care of urself k? dun always let me nag at u.

alrite, i hope that my last class S13 will be fun tml! :X

we had a sec class outing on friday! initially, we planned to have our dinner at makan sutra, but it started pouring upon reaching, hence we had to settle our dinner indoors. eventually, we decided on suntec crystal jade restaurant :D haha..

i discovered a new way of eating xiao long bao from my friends. they taught me to bite the xiao long bao to open a small gap, suck out the juice, and after which, put the ginger and pour vinegar into the filling through the gap. you can try this method next time :D

felt quite bloated after having our meal. we didnt really know where to head to, so we took the shuttle bus to city hall area. since some of them wanted to catch scenic night view, our feet took us to boat quay, or izzit clarke quay?? lolx.

anyway, we found a spot, and sat down to chit chat. haha... our conversations were quite crappy and funny though!

it was around late ten plus then we started to move off. it was going to strike midnight when i reached home!!! haha...

hope to meet up soon guys! :D

going nus open house later! :D haha.. hopefully it will not be packed with people ! sch's opening tml, and i hope that this term will pass smoothly :)

it's march holidays! :D haa..which means no school for me! haha..i suppose i should call for a joy since i can have more time to settle my uni stuff. the sad thing is that no work= no income? lolx.

i have been spending these few days applying into the different universities, and getting my scholarship stuff ready. haha.. thanks to all the teachers who have helped me write recommendation letters, edit my essays! really appreciate it very much :D

haha... i have given a serious thought about it. my first choice will be economics :D

i will continue to busy myself with those sickening admin stuff. no choice, i still have to do it. haha.. dun complain rouisanna, it's good for you :X

alrite, looking forward to sec sch outing this friday!! haha..might be goin makan sutra or lao pa sha to have dinner! haha... yummy yummy food!

congrats to wai kit for achieving excellent results in ur state exam! :) well done, i'm proud to have you as a student!

it's the first time i cried when i received my results! they were not tears of sorrow, but joy! i was really relieved when i saw the grades on the result slip, and my emotions suddenly overcame me. it was much better than my expectation of 2 As! thank you so much to my teachers who had really put in their utmost efforts to guide me, and those who had given me endless of encouragements during the exam period last year! without their support, i will not be able to make it so far...

i guessed JJ did quite well this year, and majority of the scholars were from the science faculty. i'm really glad that i did arts stream proud! no matter what the results were, everyone had given their best shots. for those who met their expectations, congrats! :) for those who did not, dun be demoralised! please recall that we were once anxious over our PSLE results, and at this moment, who really cares about it? it works similarly for A'lvl results, many years down the road, people will not be asking u how did u fare for As. instead, they will be shooting questions such as , " do you have a degree or masters? ". it's a stepping stone to the brighter future, so don't feel mediocre!

thanks to the many people who sent me best wishes since this mornin, ranging from my family, friends, og campers and even my students!:D i was deeply touched by your sincerity.

before the release of the results, i was really nervous. i was afraid of getting bad results, not because i was worried that i couldnt enter university. i was panicking as i was afraid to see the disappointed faces of those who care about me, especially my parents, grandparents, and teachers. they had pinned all their hopes on me, hence i told myself that i couldnt diminish their hopes. i wasnt concerned about not meeting my expectations, or letting myself down, as i already knew that i had tried my best. it's more upsetting to see those around you feeling discouraged. thank goodness i did them proud! i was really delighted when i heard the happiness in my grandpa's voice when i told him my results!

i wan to do my best, not solely for myself, but for my loved ones too. i want to provide for them as a means to thank them for raising me up. i know it might sound funny, but that's really from the bottom of my heart.

not forgetting someone who is so dear to me...javier darling, i was really glad that u are always there for me, cheering me on in difficult times. you are not a burden but an asset in my jc years. without you spurring me on, i will not have the determination to do well. thank you for being there in the past two years. i will give you my support too in whatever you do! i'm sure you will succeed in the future!

i will continue to work hard! :)

the final show-down is in two days' time! i'm really anxious! the last time when such strong feelings drowned me was during O lvls. hopefully, my results will not be too disastrous! :)

the students got to know their classes today, and one of my kids smsed me, asking if i will be teaching his class. however, sad to say, i still have no inkling idea of my time-table, and the classes i will be teaching, so i shall make no comment at this moment. but one thing is for sure, i'll be taking H1 Economics, so i guess my kids taking H2 will not be seeing me for tutorials :(

having mass lectures for this whole week, and i saw my "future" batch of students for these past few days. they were quite well-behaved during the lectures, perhaps due to the fact that majority of them are new to Economics. i was quite appalled by the number of students who are foreign to Economics, as in they did not take Econs during PAE. i think i have to put in great efforts to help them comprehend the basic concepts when Term 2 starts! :D

i have been quite busy these few days with the selling of the CD-ROMs which contained the lecture slides. it's quite boring to sit there, and wait for the students to approach me. thankfully, some of my students were nice to keep me company, so time did not appear to be crawling.

alrite, good luck to u guys who are receiving e results on friday! :) may we all pass with flying colours! haha...

to celebrate my birthday and anniversary yesterday, we went to SENTOSA for outing. haa... e last time we went was abt 2 years back, so we weren't familiar with the new whereabouts. e day started with a light drizzle, and we were praying really hard that it would perhaps stop in the early afternoon. haha.thank god our prayers were heard, and the weather was just nice :)

had our lunch at harbour front center before embarking on the journey to the island. haha... we had our virgin ride on the new monorail, and i still preferred the original monorail though even if the new one had air-conditioner. i guess it's up to individual taste and preference, maybe mine's more strange? haha..

anyway, the monorail paused at a site whereby the new sentosa resort would be situated in 2010. it's an enormous patch of land ( still muddy ) though, and i missed the greeneries which used to stand there. urbanisation has really taken its toll everywhere, even Sentosa isnt spared :(

we alighted at the beach station, and headed towards the cycling booth to rent bikes. haha.. we cycled from siloso to palawan and then to tanjong beach to and fro. but to our dismay, jav's bike broke down on our journey back ( he laughed at me,and didnt realise that there was one big bag of dried leaves ahead, and thus he banged into it! ), so we had to push our bike and walked all the way back from tanjong beach! thank god the distance was still manageable. haha..we took it positively, as a form of exercise though...

after which, we went to tour around sentosa, and decided to rest our feet at the Animal's corner. haha..saw many beautiful birds, and even captured a candid moment with a parrot. i was so nervous initially, but decided y not? :) haha.. caught the animals' show at the amphitheatre, and i enjoyed myself with the nature. for once, i thought i was in the zoo?? lolx.

left sentosa on a happy tone, and headed back to boon lay for dinner. haha..jav's treating us to japan village. that's the second treat he had for me. we had buffet dinner at yuki yaki ( marina square ) on friday :D

on the whole, it was splendid and enjoyable! i hope to return soon, and visit more places in the near future. haha.. suddenly, i have an impulse to visit the zoo after watching the animals' show. lolx. maybe soon...
